2. Browser-Based Tool Processing & Remote Requests

Many ToolTive utilities are designed to operate directly within your web browser using client-side technologies.

Where a tool operates entirely on the client side (such as our Image Compressor, Image to PDF Converter, and Profit Margin Calculator), files and data entered into the tool remain in your browser memory during processing and are not uploaded to or stored on ToolTive's servers.

For tools that evaluate publicly accessible web resources (such as our XML Sitemap Generator crawler and Robots.txt Tester fetcher), our Cloudflare Edge infrastructure makes a temporary, automated HTTP request to retrieve the public sitemap or robots.txt file specified by the user. These requests do not transmit or retain personal user files.

3. Cookies and Local Browser Storage

ToolTive does not set first-party tracking or authentication cookies for its core website functionality.

To provide drafting convenience, certain browser-based tools make use of browser local storage (localStorage) on your local device:

  • Invoice Generator: Temporarily saves active invoice drafts, line items, and styling preferences (under the storage key tooltive-storage) so you do not lose progress if your browser window refreshes.
  • SEO Schema Generator: Saves in-progress structured data form entries (under the storage key tooltive_schema_generator_draft_v1).

This draft information resides strictly on your local device within your web browser. It is not transmitted to ToolTive servers and can be deleted at any time through your browser settings or in-tool reset buttons.

Third-party services integrated into the website (including Google Analytics and Google AdSense) may set and read cookies, web beacons, or unique device identifiers to analyze site usage and deliver advertising.

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

ToolTive is configured with Google AdSense (Publisher ID: pub-9227549190577691) to help support free access to our tools.

7. Cloudflare & Security

ToolTive is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare Pages.

Cloudflare provides infrastructure and security services that may involve processing technical information associated with requests to ToolTive, including information used for network delivery, security, abuse prevention, and reliability.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms (such as the contact form and newsletter subscription) from spam and automated abuse. Turnstile securely verifies that a visitor is a real human without requiring them to solve interactive puzzles. This process may involve analyzing technical information such as browser details and interaction patterns.

Cloudflare may use security and network technologies to detect and mitigate malicious traffic, attacks, automated abuse, and other threats.
